A few weeks ago I made this sweet bag for Lucy. I had an old pair of jeans which had worn out and my friend suggested I make a bag with them. When Lucy discovered I was making the bag for her she was there with the whip until I finished. I wasn't even allowed to go to the loo!!!! It was fun to make because you can really do anything you want applique buttons and fabric, embroider. I even added a kitty cat in the style Lucy draws them. I would say the bag has been a hit with her and she won't let me use it!!

New antique linen pouches
The other day I took a short break from orders and made some sweet little pouches. It's been such a long time since I made these I'd forgotten how much fun they are. I used nearly all linen fabric for them some of which is antique. I appliques antique doilies and trims and then finished a couple of with a little embroidery!

Vintage embroidery quilt
Another WIP from Juju. This is a collection of vintage embroideries, fabrics and hand embroidery that is being put together into a quilt. The original inspiration comes from Pam Garrison who did something similar a couple of summers ago. Rach is planning on doing something similar.
Juju's Crazy Wool Quilt
Here is some more progress on mum's crazy wool quilt. There are four panels, with one for each season. There is an individual photo of each season on Flickr. She is almost done with only a few minor things to finish off then she will add the borders and make it up. That probably won't happen for a while because whilst its only spring in Brisbane, it already feels like summer so it's too hot for wool quilts!

Large drawstring bag
Oh finally I have found the time to make something new! Today I completed these great drawstring bags for kids. I've been wanting to make these for such a long time but was always perplexed about making a drawstring bag. Goodness knows why they're not hard at all! Now I've figured it out there's no end to the possibilities! I hope to produce some more but need to get back to growth chart making!!!
For some bags I used linen as a base and others cotton. I appliqued my cute softie animal patterns on them and love the way they turned out. They would make a lovely gift with a softie and bib for newborns or even just the bag for older kids. As they are quite large they can be used for all manner of things like for books, gym, toys and so on.

A school holiday activity with my son, two nephews and mum. All three boys picked their own fabrics and even used the sewing machine. We love the way they turned out and plan to do more as we have lots of other ideas.
Post Update: Several people have asked for a pattern for these fish so I have made one. It is listed on Etsy. I hope that you like it!!!
