Festive Santa Pdf Pattern

This gorgeous Santa Pdf pattern is still available in my shop. It's super fun to make and SO easy! The colour and pattern combinations are endless! You definitely won't be able to stop at making one santa, before you know it you'll have a whole team of santas!!!

What to do with all these little guys?? Decorate your home, put them on the mantle, on side tables in the entry way and what about down the center of your Christmas table!!! I made these santas for a client who purchased an antique French cheese board which she is going to place down the center of her table with the santas on top. Such a cool idea!!

A great idea could be to make one for each person at the table and have a santa sitting on top of, or near, each plate!

Let's not forget they make for fabulous gifts! They can go in stockings or given as gorgeous, unique handmade gifts, especially for those you need to give a small thank you to before Christmas - friends, family teachers and so on!

Whilst we're on the Christmas theme, I'm working on a large project which will soon be finished! Here's another little sneak peek into it!

Snail mail

I love love love instagram! If you really want to be up to date with my creating it's best to keep track of my instagram account. The link is above. Anyway there  (and on Pinterest) I discovered snail mail. Nobody writes letters aymore due to email so someone (i don't know who) came up with snail mail!

Snail mail is kind of a cross between a care package and letter. You create a little folder with pockets which you then fill with small notes (letters) and items you want to send to your loved one or friend. So cool! People even decorate the envelopes and make them works of art as well!

So I made one for my siter and one for mum and I think they really loved them. Mum said she cried when she opened the packag!

For Sas: I made a needle book, some embroideries, trims and I sent her lots of die cut felt flowers and leaves in all the colours I know she loves! I may have included some die cut tags as well.

Here is Sas's needlebook. The bunny button was made by my friend.

The embroidery in the backgorund was for Sas.

For mum: I included some embroideries, trims, die cut leaves and feathers, some old hand stamped fabrics she can use in her sewing projects, old fabric and a needlebook. I also made the folders using a heavy cardstock which I gessoed, painted, sprayed, collaged, basically went a little crazy! The pockets inside were created with a die cut pocket (love!), envelopes and antique envelopes.

Christmas market San Marino

This weekend was the first of several at the 'Natale delle Meraviglie' in San Marino. It was a beautiful sunny weekend but very, very cold! We had characteristic wooden houses in which to display our products. This is the view down the street

The amazing view over the Valle Marecchia towards San Leo, and yes that's snow you can see!
Putting together my stall was not an easy feat! I was in such a state of confusion it took me from 8am-12 pm to finally feel like I was in order! Thanks goodness my 10 year old daughter was there with me to help, advise and tell me off when panicking!!!

Here is my stall finally organised, Sunday I switched things up a little! I think I was able to improve my display. When you see all your goods on display like this you realise just how much work you've done then the exhaustion sets in!

At the end of the day, Sunday we had a spectacular sunset to end off a fun and successful weekend! Now it's back to woking on orders and restocking for the next weekends in San Marino. I'll be there 12-13 Dec, 19-20 Dec, 24-25-26-27 Dec, 31st Dec and then 1st Jan- 6th Jan.

Felt Flower Wreath

Bloesem Kids | Bloesem Class: Felt flower making with Rubyellen Bratcher of MyCakies:
Inspired by the image above that I found on Pinterest, I decided to make my own wreath.
DIY Felt Bouquet. This post has links to making peonies, calla lilies, dusty millers, cabbage roses, eucalyptus leaves, anemones, ranunculuses and billy balls all out of felt.:

I used these tutorials for a felt wedding bouquet above to start off with; was inspired by other pictures on Pinterest like in my felt board and also made up a few of my own flowers. All the flowers are made from wool felt and the wreath is metal wrapped by more felt. Clearly I like bright colours!!
My version of the felt flower wreath
I think I might make some more but different sizes just like in the original picture. The wreaths look good in a bunch of three.

I absolutely love the book above which I bought a while ago and have made some of the paper flowers from it. I am sure you would be able to adapt some of their designs to make felt flowers. I think I will give it a go! Look how stunning some of the projects from their book are!!!

Productivity or mess

This is what my table looks like this morning, left over from yesterday. It's a very colourful mess or is it a sign of productivity??'. It's a glorious cold rainy day which I love when I have to create! Sunny days are just too distracting and tempting. Rainy days inspire me to stay in and work! Of course there has to be a cup of tea as well. Perfect!
