Today it's cold and wet! The perfect day to stay indoors and catch up on incomplete projects! I certainly have a lot of those lying around!!!
This week I finished up several journals, most of which have already sold!
This one is still available in my shop here, and is super pretty!
In the works have been some Easter totes as well. Those are never missing in action! I also have a pattern for them (here) if you prefer to make them yourself!
Most exciting is I've finished two new patterns. I've been planning on making these for some time now and have finally sat down to write them! These new patterns are very detailed and I've used a lot of photos to help with explanations which makes life so much easier than trying to visualise just words!
The first is my 'Lulu Bear' pattern (here), named after my daughter as she helped me design it when she was 7 years old! This is especially sweet as it was developed through a child's eyes!
The second pattern I've completed, I was asked to do about 7 months ago! Didn't that take me a long time to tackle!!! It's for a lovely pouch I've been making for a number of years now. It's very sweet and definitely a crowd pleaser! I've named it the 'Sydney Pouch' don't ask me why, just because! It's available here.
I have some new patterns in the works, let's hope they don't take another 7 months to complete!

Sweet Lulu bears
A few weeks ago I made these sweet Lulu bears. One was for a friend and the others are available in my shop! I always enjoy making these bears especially because they are based on Lucy's design!

Sweet sweet bunny softies
I made a whole lot of different softies the other day, in larger and smaller sizes. They are so sweet! I used soft colours this time round, next time I will do a brighter batch! I also did stuff them as much a usual as i wanted them to soft and cuddly. Of course they were made under Lulu's expert 9 year old supervision!

First time dollie!
This is the first doll I ever made. Thursday I went to a big craft fair in Vicenza and saw some dolls made. I really liked their clothes but not their faces so much. They had interesting hairstyles too so I bought a pattern. I decided yesterday to have a go but had to change the face and did my own spin on the dolls hair and clothes as well. So basically the body is from the pattern, as are the wide legged pants and then my imagination took it from there!
Of course when Lulu saw the doll she claimed it as hers! I thiught the doll might keep me company in my sewing room but apparently no, she's moving into Lulu's room!
I think I may have to work on faces, my husband told me she looks like a scarey witch! Maybe he still had 'sleep' in his eyes this morning when he saw her! Lulu and I think she's sweet but I will admit I need to improve the face for the next one!
I love love love her dress! I used a hand dyed muslin type fabric I bought in Sydney and then I made hand cut flowers with hand dyed felted wool and musling fabric. I stitched a few off cuts together to make her scarf!

Love love love Lulu bears
Can't help myself I had to make some more Lulu bears. Thanks Lulu for your gorgeous design. These are made with patchwork, applique and their faces are antique linen/hemp. Oh one is nearly all antique linens.

Lucy's designs
Every now and then, Lulu comes into my little sewing room to do some 'inspiration' drawings for me. I have a whole collection of them ,they're great! We had a birthday today for a girl and boy so we decided to make a couple of softies to add to their bought gift. Lulu designed a bear (which turned out to look like a dog!) and owl. She then chose fabrics with me, gave me my instructions and I made them up. They are so cute! For Ginevra I also decided to make a matching bag which she will find useful in so many occasions!

Not more bunnies!

Well I thought bunny making was done but here I am making more! These are for the teachers at Lulu's school. I couldn't resist making a few more! They are being given with a Lindt chocolate bunny friend.
I used vintage fabrics on all of them, I just love the soft faded colours. I also put some beautiful French lavender in them. Lulu's favourite is the blue and purple one, I think mine is the pale pink with linen arms and ears. Hope the teachers like them!

Finally finished!
Oh my goodness, I have finally finished a very large order! I only received the order the 9th January with requirements to ship by this week. I have been stitching like a mad person in between looking after my daughter and doing English workshop everyday at middle school. I'm so pleased to be done as I have been neglecting everything including my house and especially our blog! Hopefully I'll be able to make some new goodies soon.
So what have I been making ? 54 Easter bags and 26 bunnies to be precise and I haven't even started on those for my shop yet!!! Maybe I'll have a little break from them for a week before starting on stock for my shop!
