A tote for Lulu

Finally I took the time to finish off one of my 8 year old daughter's orders!!! To think I had prepared the base of this bag, under her strict instructions, months ago but never actually sat down to attach the pieces and embroider here and there. Friday night she stayed at her friend's house so i decided to suprise her and finished it off. She was ecstatic when she came home!

I used antique Italian handwoven hemp/linen for the base, antique and vintage trims and vintage embroideries. Lulu loves hearts so that was her theme. To apply the pieces I used Jude Hill's technique which I learnt from an online class I purchased on her website (I highly recommend it), then I did random embroidery stitches here and there to embellish it.
