Nappy bag - vintage and antique fabric

I made this nappy bag for my friend's daughter who just had her 4th child! Having 4 children is amazing in itself! I made the bag with antique Italian linen and vintage fabrics. I appliqued all different fabrics and trims, some vintage embroidered flowers. I then appliqued a little girl and rabbit. The bag is quite large, made like a messenger bag with 2 external pockets and 3 internal ones. More images on flickr

  1. Hi!
Have just found your blog via an old post on Dutch sister blog - there was a beautiful applique cushion you'd made for a swap.
Love this bag youve made here - so beautiful but practical, and out of vintage fabrics too. I'm sure your friends daughter will adore it!
Looking forward to checking out more posts and to visiting you again!

  7. That's so pretty! When I had my children everything was functional and not beautiful, no yummy mummies then! So glad things have changed and new mummies can feel really yummy!
