Lucy's table

I finally painted Lucy's table!!! I've had it here for months waiting for inspiration, yesterday it finally hit me. As you can probably tell she loves Hello Kitty. To see some more photos of the table go to our flickr. One project down and 10 million to go. I still have to paint her drawers, it'll be along the same theme.

    It's Sarah. I love Lucy's table. The paintings are so neat that it looks like you have cut out paper!! The table is bright for you! Did you paint it a colour or did you paint directly onto the raw wood? Lucy will love it.

    I used the Ikea white wash and only put one coat it makes the wood appear slightly pinkish. I used your idea and stuck paper around the sides of the table - looks good I think. The table is not varnished in the photos. I've now put 4 coats on and will do another 2 or 3 on the top of the table.
