I just completed these 4 growth charts all heading off to new homes. I really love the way they turned out. My client requested animals to represent the Chinese zodiabc for each family member. Such a fun thing to do! Now onto the next set of charts!

In the pond quilt!
A lovely quilt made for a little boy Enea. Pattern is my own. All applique is by hand except for the lettering and the quilt is hand quilted. I really love the way the colours and pattern turned out!

Gambettola antique market
Saturday was a great day, gambettola antique market was on. So exciting as it's only on twice a year and all the streets are filled with wonderful stalls. I took a few photos of one of my favourite stalls and of course my little stash!
My Gambettola stash! So many great deals to be had! Gorgeous handwoven antique hemp and linens to be had for fab prices. I bought a few little goodies for Lulu too as she really wanted to come but I didn't let her as there were 4 of us and we walk for hours and hours! Way too much for a 9 year old! She was happy with her pressies - the 2 tins (now filled with her ever growing stash), some trims and doilies.
Lulu was instantly inspired by the vintage embroidered tablecloth, here is a photo of her working on a vintage style embroidery - all her own design. Such a proud mummy!
My favourite stall, besides of course the ones selling fabrics and trims!

Wall hanging for Lulu
Here is my first wall hanging which I made for Lulu. I've been a bit flat lately creativity wise, you may have noticed! I came across a wonderful textile artist Marna Lunt on Pinterest. I thought her work was very interesting so decided to pop over to her blog. Once there I saw she has online courses so after a lot of procastination I signed up. It was so much fun, although I knew many of the techniques already I still found it very stimulating. There is also a great community feel about her course as she creates a private Facebook group as well so we can all share our projects and converse.
I've signed up for level 3, can't wait for it to start!!! In the menatime I may play around with another wall hanging.

Cesena antique market
So here is my stash from the markets yesterday. Lulu and I had so much
fun together, I'm thrilled that at 9 years of age she already has an
appreciation for these things!
I bought a lot of antique lace trims with many different textures. I can't keep up with my growing stash of old trims, I madly buy them at every market in fear that one day they'll run out (Or my hubby says 'let's move to Oz' and they won't be so readily available there)!
Next week is Rimini antique market and the week after Gambettola. The latter is amazing the whole little town is an antique market, it's only held twice a year. Definitely worth a visit!

Sweet pillows
These are some sweet pillows I made for my firend's children for Christmas. Lulu had a quilted pillowcase and she loves it. Sleeps on it every night! It's very durable- I wash it in the machine and throw it in the dryer and it's perfect!

Good behaviour chart
Well this is something new! I was asked to make a 'good behaviour' chart with pockets for each day of the week. At first I was a little perplexed but once I conversed further with my client I got a better idea of how it should be. She wanted it to have a fairytale theme so there are a mix of figures in it. My favourite is the fairy godmother!
It ended up with bright pink pom pom trim on the bottom!

Love making pillows!
These are a few pillows I made this year. Incredibly slow at blogging things I know! I have been making just not sharing! I need to do better at that!
This pillow has been made with vintage embroidered linen, toile, cotton and antique handwoven hemp and a lovely doily applique.
This pillow was a custom order.

Fabric book covers
I finished this order a few weeks ago. I made 10 A5 notebook covers using a mix of fabrics many of which are vintage or antique Italian hemp/linen. I embellished with antique trims and vintage doilies along with buttons and charms.
These have a combination of antique Italian hemp, antique French trims, vintage Indian kantha embroidered silks and buttons

Homespun March 2015
I'm so excited I received my copy of Homespun March 2015! My project has been featured in the magazine and I love the way the mag presented it. I made a growth time for this issue, it's quite different to what I normally do and was so much fun to make.
Sarah had a gorgeous project in the February issue which she is yet to blog!
The magazine can be purchased at newsagents around Australia, from many online stores and also in digital format from Zinio
The magazine is full of gorgeous project so it's such an honour to have my project included alongside such clever, creative people! In particular I adore these bunny baskets by Bronwyn Hayes. I'm definitely considering making some of these for Easter.
