Growth charts
Over the last months I've made many growth charts. Many requests are to make them similar to ones I've made before so I don't always blog them. Here I've included images from a collection of charts, similar to others but some different colours. The last 2 images was a new theme with cats and dogs. It was really cute!

Growth chart and pillow slip for Alexis
An order recently completed. A loverly growth chart and large pillow slip. I'm not sure I understood correctly what was wanted with the slip even though it turned out very pretty. Of course Lulu laid her eyes on it and said she'd like one. Poor Lulu she has such a long list of things she would like me to make her and I never have the time. I think after the orders I'm still working on i'll have to make some thing for her!

Exciting News- We are in the April Homespun Magazine
A very long time ago we were contacted by the editor of the Australian Homespun Magazine and asked if we could create an original pattern for the magazine. Our project is coming out in store next week and we can't wait to get our hands on a copy. For Rach, it's the third time she has been published but for me, it's a first!!
We were both requested to create a cushion. After some very excited discussions and planning we came up with a 'Vintage French' theme. We both used vintage Italian linen which Rachel sources where she lives with a combination of vintage sheet fabrics. Rach's cushion on the bottom is a French village and mine on top is a French flower shop. The full pattern and instructions are in the magazine and the picture below is a sneak peak.
It was a very nervous time for us as we were not sure if our work was good enough for the magazine which we both love and buy regularly. With renewed confidence, Rach and I are now busily working on some more patterns which will go in our Etsy stores. We love how the cushions were photographed and are very thankful for the opportunity that we were given to be in the magazine.
You can purchase the magazine online, as a digital copy or in newsagents/supermarkets in Australia.
We hope you like our project and if you do make either of our cushions please send us a photo as we would like to see what you do.

WIP- Baby Boy Quilt
Here is a shot of a quilt that I have been making for a couple of friends of mine who have had their first baby. The colours were inspired by a Dr Seuss print that they have in his nursery. I machine quilted it but don't look too close as I am just a beginner at this. I tried to stitch-in-the-ditch but didn't always get my stitched in the ditch! I must say that it did progressively get a little better but I need a lot more practice. Hopefully my friends won't mind and think that it adds character! I do like the way the colour combination turned out and wouldn't mind making my son a new quilt in the same combination.

Animals on Safari duffle bag
I was asked to make some messenger bags and a duffle bag to co-ordinate with the duffle bag. At first it was a daunting propect as I'd never made a duffle bag before. I did some research on the internet before starting and read a few tutroials to get an idea on how to approach the bag. My next task was to decide how to incorporate the applique part. Once i'd worked this out I decided on the dimensions and got onto it, always wondering if it would work out! I decided to machine quilt the bag to make it stronger and finished off the raw edges internally with bias. Of course when Lulu saw it she instantly said she wants one! I'll have to find the time to make more as they are truely gorgeous and the photos don't do it justice!

Easter Hunting Bags- Custom order
I made these two Easter drawstring bags during the week as a custom order. One was for a boy and one for a girl. I hope that Jamie likes them and that they arrive in the US in time for Easter egg hunting!
Rach- I also posted your Easter goodies for Lulu. I hope they arrive in Italy in time as well! If not it will be a post-Easter surprise and I hope you like them!

4 Season Growth chart
A while back I made this lovely growth chart which represents the four seasons. The lower panel is spring with lambs and chicks. Moving up I represented summer, Autumn with falling leaves and then winter with snow. It was really fun to make and I hope my client was happy with it!

I recently finished this order for three cushion slips and growth chart. The growth chart need to be a little textural and include fireflies! It's super cute and I'm very pleased with the end result.

New Easter basket
This is a sweet Easter gift basket I made a few weeks ago. I made it with antique Italian linen and bound it with left over patchwork strips. Talk about not wasting anything!! The bunny is hand appliqued and embroidered.
