A Couple more Birds
Here are two more finished bird. I have now done six and have thirty left to go. Yesterday we went to a thread shop and I got more variegated threads for this project. My favourite one is a neon yellow thread which will be a nice pop of colour.

Mum has been working on this wall hanging. She has some other similar projects on the go. It is inspired by the work of Jude Hill.

Sue Spargo Quilt
Mum aka Juju is making a Sue Spargo quilt that I blogged photos of a little while ago. She has done them in very different colours to Sue, in her favourite pastel colours! I have posted photos of her first 5 blocks on Flickr and will add another five tomorrow. She still has more to go.

Wip
Ok so I haven't made a lot of progress with my Sue Spargo Bird wall hanging but am on holidays for a couple of weeks so plan to get some more done. Each bird takes me 1 1/2 to 2 hours to embellish so with 36 birds in total, it's going to take me quite a while to finish!!

Super sweet hootie owl ornaments
I had great fun the other day creating these sweet Christmas owl ornaments. I'm early this year with Christmas as I've been so busy and fear it will just increase moving towards November and then I won't have time to create anything new. I was supposed to make 3 owls but as I was cutting more ideas kept popping into my head so I just kept on cutting out more! There are a few I have't made, better write them down or I'll forget what they were!!! These sweet owls will be making it into my shop over the next few days!

Growth chart for Duncan and Eli
I finished and sent off this growth chart last week. It's for two brothers Eli and Duncan. Duncan loves building trucks, construction etc and his much wanted something a little modern and not too babyish. The charts goes to 6ft so it will be in the boys room until they are older. The colours were her suggestion and I really love the way they turned out. I got to use some of my beautiful woven Japanese fabrics!

Zakka and French style pouches
Yesterday I manages to make a couple of sweet pouches. I used lovely japanese linen for the smaller ones and antique Italian linen for the larger one. I appliqued beautiful antique trim and doilies on them to finish them off! Then it was back to orders!!

Early Christmas decorations
Ok so in between orders I have slipped a little Christmas spirit in! I was asked to create patterns for these ornaments which I was happy to do so I got to make a few samples. I've decided to put the patterns in my shop along with the decorations. They are mostly made with felt which is lovely to work with.

Halloween nearly apon us!!!
Can you believe Halloween is nearly apon us!! It seems like yesterday it was Halloween, this means that Christmas is just around the corner and another year has gone by.
In July I started working on a large order which I never got around to blogging! I made these cute Halloween trick or treat bags, 40 of each type for a total of 160 bags! It was an absolute bag fest in my house no one could sit anywhere and there were piles of fabric everywhere! When I cut all the handles and lining etc I must say they were piled high and quite daunting to look at. I did wonder if I would be able to meet the deadline or was just kidding myself!!! As you can see I made it and the bags went to their new destination in the States!!

More growth charts and cushions
Japser's growth chart was made to co-ordinate with some bedding his mummy had already purchased. It turned out to be very cute.
Pearl's growth chart is similar to one of my most popular designs which I make often just different colours. It's funny because each one always turns out slightly different which makes the fun to make as I can't wait to see the end result!
The 2 cushions went to a lovely customer in Australia for her daughter. Everything is hand appliqued and embroidered.

Cushion and growth chart for Seble
Yes another growth chart but this time co-ordinated with a lovely cushion. And to think I haven't even blogged all the growth charts I've made yet!!!
Tea baskets
My friend loves her herbal teas and she especially loves to pull them out when people visit! She was wondering how best to serve them and had an extra metal rack so I told her i could make fabric baskets to fit. This way she just pulls them out, puts them on the table and her guests can select their tea!
I was definitely inspired by the Japanese zakka style for these. It's a great way to use up small pieces of fabric too. I don't know about anyone else but my pile of 'smaller' pieces (don't like calling them scraps because so many are lovely) seems to grow not diminish even though I use them everywhere!!

Sweet zakka style pouches
Between orders I decided to make something different. These sweet little zakka style pouches are the result! I used pretty Japanese cotton fabrics and linen and finished them off with a little hand applique and embroidery. The trims are from my special stash of antique Italian and French trims (the pink I hand dyed) Lulu wants one so now I'll have to make some for her too!!

Lovely linen
It was a great weekend searching for lovely antique goodies! I found some gorgeous Italian antique linen sheets, some handwoven, some hand embroidered. They date back to the 1930s and I just love them. I'm also bak creating some new things, I made a few new drawstring pouches.

Nursery crib bedding set
I finally finished this order. It's super pretty as I used mostly new Lecien fabrics which I love. I made a lovely crib quilt with co-ordinating bumper and 2 cushions. The bumper was a feat in itself, it's so long! Stitching it was never ending I had to lay it out down the corridor on the floor! I love the end result and can't wait to photos of it all together in it's new home!!!
