Billycart Markets Sydney
Yesterday we had a stall at Billycart Markets in Narrabeen, Sydney. It was our 2nd time having a market stall but first time we had a stall on our own. It was a very stressful week leading up to the markets as I was sick and couldn't get as much done as I wanted to. I was so disorganised and I hate being disorganised but it all came together in the end. I think our stall was quite pretty and so different to anything else at the markets. My hair clips and house hair clip holders sold well. Mum's pretty storage bags were also popular. We will be doing two more Billycart markets this year on Saturday 25th September and Saturday 11th December. Watch out for Christmas stuff at those two markets as the ideas are bursting out of our heads. We are also hoping to do some more Mathilda's Markets this year as well. For just a hobby we are becoming quite busy! More photos on Flickr.

Bees and flower cushion
I know, I know another cushion! I just love making cushions, can't you tell?? My daughter has about 10 on her bed and I have to say she loves them! I love how the colours worked out in this cushion so soft and pretty. I used vintage cotton fabrics for the border, antique Italian linen (again!) for the center and new cottons for the applique. I then hand embroidered it. Oh and of course this cushion has a cousin which I hope to finish tomorrow or Wednesday! Going on Etsy, more images on flickr

Cute robot cushions
Two sweet cushions for two special boys! I made these sweet robot cushions yesterday one for a christening gift and one for a new born. I used a mix of fabrics and yes you guessed it some of my antique Italian linen. That is hardly ever left out of the equation! The cushions are 40 x 60 cm so a nice large size. The robot is machine appliqued and hand embroidered. The design for it came from Anni Downs 'A Boys Story' book. Absolutely fabulous book I highly recommend it. You should also check out her website and blog Hatched and Patched. I want to buy a few more of her books she's so inspiring. A true Aussie talent!

Vintage fabric bird cushion
I made this lovely cushion with gorgeous vintage fabrics and antique Italian linen in the center. The central design is created with applique and hand embroidery. I just love the way the little bee turned out! Going on Etsy.

Pretty bird quilt
Here's the reason I haven't posted much lately. I just finished this lovely twin sized quilt for a special order. It was hard going as I had my 4 year old home sick for 2 weeks and it's been really hot and humid. Whilst I was quilting/embroidering this I had the fan fixed on me full blast!!!
The quilt itself has been designed to go with my patch bird cushions. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Very pretty blues, pinks and lilacs were used to create this. More images on flickr.

Pretty pink and green storage box
This pretty storage basket is perfect for any type of storage. It's a great baby shower, new born or even Christmas gift. The basket is great for keeping creams, cotton buds, nappies etc. You can keep anything in these pretty baskets! The basket is made with high quality beautiful cotton fabrics. The basket is lined for strength and decorated with bows and hand embroidered felt hearts. I top stitched down the sides which really gives the box great shape. This was mum's idea - thanks mum! Pretty little tote bags
Well you haven't heard from me for a while as I've been busy with a sick 4 year old and some customer orders (wich I haven't finished yet - stress, stress)! I did finish one part for one customer - these lovely tote bags for her shop in Sydney, Molly and Jack. I made 4 bags for her and one for my Etsy shop. I used gorgeous 70 year old hand woven linen for the 'Bonjour' bags. I'm off to see if I can get some more form the antique dealer today. I sold most of the linen on Etsy. It was found in a stately home just outside of Bologna and is just lovely. The doilies I use on these bags are vintage and hand dyed by someone in Australia. More images on flickr
