Blue elephant cushion

I finished another elephant cushion, this time one for the boys! Having a girl I usually tend towards girly colours but I am really pleased with how this one turned out. It looks great with the blue rabbit I made. The applique and hand embroidery are done on antique Italian linen and the cushion is finished off with a lovely cotton stripe on the front and toile on the back. More images on flickr.

Easter bunnies and Easter baskets

well Easter is nearly here again. I just love it, flowers are blooming and spring is near! I made a couple of these bunnies last year and loved them so much thought I would make some more. Lucy love hers and has requested another so they can play together! Lulus bunny is a permanent fixture on her bed as a cushion. I then decided to make some Easter egg hunt baskets, they are really sweet. I used linen, Japanese fabrics, and cottons to create these. I love the bunny applique, it is so cute!

I love these new cushions I'm not sure which is my favourite the bird or the elephants. Again I've combined antique linen with gorgeous colourful cottons and embellished with applique and embroidery.

Colourful quilt

I make this quilt today. I just love it. I think these fabrics have some of my favourite colour combinations! You can tell spring is not too far away as I'm moving towards brighter more colourful things! The quilt is made with acombination of gorgeous cotton fabrics, the main fabric being a Kaffe Fasset. I used a very think and soft batting and linked the layers with pretty crochet flowers here and there. I made this one for my shop but I definitely will be making another for Lulu! This makes a great quilt but also a fabulous playmate. Lucy is always on the floor doing puzzles etc and sits on cushions - this is perfect for her. The quilt can be used to keep your child warm in winter and the bed pretty in summer!

Girly outfits!

I made these tops for my cousins daughter Milly. She turned 5 in November. I used a pattern from the latest Christmas issue of Cotton Time. (Yes I was very late with her present!) It's a great pattern I have to make something for Lucy. I used a mix of Max Mara linens and cottons for both tops/dresses. Then I decided to make a co-ordinating bag as I know Milly love bags.

Mousie Cushion

Jude made this gorgeous cushion. The embroidery is so fine and perfect, it's just lovely. She used a pattern for this - unfortunately I can't remember the designers name. Next time I talk to mum I'll ask and correct this post. My apologies. It's made for a gorgeous little girl's cushion!

Embroidered scarves

Two more pretty scarves are finished. These are made with a mix of fabrics including antique linen, cotton and wool. They are backed with a very soft Max Mara linen. I have embellished them with trim and hand embroidery. These scarves are even great for spring! More images on flickr
